Advanced Business & Administration Apprenticeship

As an advanced Apprenticeship, business administration level 3 is designed to help those in administration roles to enhance their skills and develop their careers. As the natural progression from level 2, the programme will allow you to build upon the skills you previously gained, with guidance from your colleagues, in-depth training, work-shadowing and one-to-ones.

The following are mandatory areas which will be covered in the qualification:

  • Communicate in a business environment
  • Manage personal and professional development
  • Contribute to the improvement of business performance
  • Principles of administration
  • Principles of business

Optional units include: administering finance, managing a budget, negotiating in a business environment, creating bespoke business documents, administering human resource records, administering the recruitment process, resolving administration problems, preparing specifications for contracts, chair and lead meetings, organise and deliver customer service, principles of digital marketing, social media and market research.

As a qualified business administrator you will be confident in managing teams or tasks within a business environment and will be working to develop your administration skills further.

Your work could include:

  • Dealing with internal and external correspondence
  • Organising meetings and events
  • Producing documents
  • Managing administration systems and office facilities
  • Developing presentations

On successful completion of your Business Administration Advanced Level Apprenticeship you will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration as well as Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT.

Who is this course for?

Level 3 is ideal if you have considerable administrative experience and want to improve your IT and management skills further. You will need some knowledge and experience of administration systems, so you can develop your skills, perhaps to move into a management role.
