Award in Education & Teaching – January to March 2019
The Level 3 Award in Education & Teaching is a nationally recognised teaching qualification perfect for those looking to take their first steps into the teaching. The course is delivered over 10 weeks including which includes workshops (24 workshop hours), learner self-study (an estimated 24 hours) and online tutor support.
Once completed you will be known as an ‘Associate Teacher’ and be able to teach post 16 level. The course covers the following:
- Understanding roles, responsibilities & relationships in education & training
- Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
- Understanding assessment in education and training
There are no formal entry requirements, however learners considering this course must have a qualification and relevant experience in their subject at the appropriate level. Learners may be need to undertake an initial assessment of English, Maths and ICT skills. This qualification is not approved for anyone under the age of 19.
