Bespoke Early Years Makaton Taster Session 31/10/2024
This specifically designed and tailored workshop for all Early Years Professionals is a fun and easy way to learn to sign with babies and children aged 6 months – 5 years.
Using Makaton signs is valuable for a child’s communication skills and language development. It encourages expressive language and also a child’s comprehension of language.
Research has proven that signing while speaking can enhance intellectual development and learning too. Additionally it can help to reduce frustrations and help both parents and early years professionals to understand babies and children’s needs further – thus enriching two-way relationships.
Signing is also beneficial to use with children who have EAL (English as an Additional Language).
So why not have a go and learn how to sing and sign favourite Songs and Nursery Rhymes, and enjoy all the benefits of signing with children and / or babies – at the same time giving children a head start!
