Makaton Level 1 Tops Day Nurseries
At the end of the Level 1 course, participants should have the confidence and skills to use Makaton more fluently in their daily interactions with children and adults.
Makaton Workshops also offer a number of opportunities for improving carer’s communication skills with people.
This Workshop provides an introductory workshop for parents, carers and practitioners who need to use Makaton in everyday situations. Signing instruction is given for Stages 1 – 2, plus some additional signs to help in practical situations. Makaton Symbols are included and examples of their use are given. Teaching methods are discussed and developed.
