COVID 19 Update

With the ongoing uncertainty around the spread of the coronavirus we would like to share some of the contingency planning we are putting in place as a business to ensure all learners, staff, partners, customers and employers we work with are protected to the best of our ability whilst still having access to the best learning and development opportunities, despite the need for social distancing or self-isolation at home.

Support we can provide for you:

Online learning platform – If Coronavirus does lead to the point where self-isolation will be required on a larger scale, all learners will still be able to continue to study using the Aptem and OneFile platforms with assessor contact via telephone, e-mail, Zoom and the message functions on Aptem and OneFile.

We also still have government funding available for your staff to complete one or more of our shorter courses, some of which you may have already accessed. If any of your team are self-isolating or you have less work for them to complete in line with their normal duties, now would be the perfect time to take advantage of these free qualifications, all of which are completed online.

If you are interested in learning more please contact Robert Arnold on either robert.arnold@aspiretrainingteam.co.uk or 07785455408.

Reduced delivery capacity – If assessors are not able to visit settings due to government guidelines then training can still continue as stated above. If learners are not able to train or study for longer than 4 weeks we will need to place them on a planned break in learning as instructed by the Skills Funding Agency in line with the updated funding rules. We will endeavour to try and minimise this as much as possible and ensure learners stay on programme.

Online induction and enrolment – As a provider of flexible learning provision, we have tried and tested online enrolment and induction processes. If learners are no longer able to attend face to face inductions we will be able to continue to provide this service through Aptem so learners can still be signed up to their learning programme to avoid any delay in starting.

Data access and sharing – All learners and setting managers have a login to the Aptem/OneFile system to track learner progress and have the ability to communicate with assessors directly, if you do not have access please contact your site assessor so we can get this put into place.

We will continue to monitor and review our practices in line with the external organisations that we work with including Awarding bodies, E-portfolio and MIS providers to ensure the smooth running of our delivery programmes.
