Education and training are crucial to unlocking opportunities and achieving the satisfaction and security of a fulfilling job. With unemployment falling steadily over the last few years, there are more people in work than ever before, with increased access to apprenticeships part of this growth.
Hundreds of people in the Fareham area have benefited as the economy continues to recover, with The Portsmouth News reporting that 880 people started apprenticeships in 2014-2015, 140 more than the year before, and also a vast increase when compared to 420 in 2009-2010. This means that 4,000 young people have entered apprenticeships since 2010, a figure that will contribute towards the Government’s ambitious plan of implementing three million new apprenticeships by 2020.
It can be difficult to find a job or the right training if you don’t know what opportunities are out there, you’re leaving school and not sure of the right career for you, if you haven’t been in work for some time, or if you’re looking to change direction. Aspire Training Team has a Portsmouth office, based within Tops Day Nurseries at the Queen Alexandra Hospital. Offering apprenticeships, training and guidance to all, Aspire are always on hand to help individuals on their way to build their career.
As part of the continued support for apprenticeships across Hampshire, Aspire Training Team will be at the Fareham Apprentice Fair on 12th February. The fair will be held at Fareham Community College from 10am to 3pm, and representatives from the apprenticeship and training provider will be on hand to discuss how an apprenticeship can help you. Find out more about the fair on the website here or visit the Aspire Training Team apprenticeship page here.
