I started my Level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship with Aspire Training Team in April 2015, with a placement at Hadland Care Group. Before I started my apprenticeship I had worked in a hotel as a cleaner and in a care home for the elderly. I chose a Business Administration apprenticeship because I wanted a change and do something that I could really benefit from. Doing an apprenticeship has introduced me to a whole new way of learning.
A few months into my apprenticeship I was promoted to an administration assistant. I am extremely proud and thankful that the Aspire Training Team recommended I work at Hadland Care Group as even after a short time I have already managed to progress in my career.
I now feel more confident working on computers, my people skills have improved and I feel comfortable making and answering telephone calls. These new skills are things I wouldn’t have been able to do if it wasn’t for the support of both my team members and assessor, Louise.
An apprenticeship was definitely the right choice for me. I would recommend it to anyone, there is always an option to progress your career and you gain a qualification! I am hoping to finish my Level 2 early next year and then continue onto my Level 3 in Business Administration.
