I am currently working towards my level 3 in Business Administration.
I work as an Accounts Assistant which involves working with invoices, receipts, petty cash, and the purchase ledger with recording fee income.
I love keeping busy day to day, I have friendly co-workers and I get to learn new things about my role daily, especially about how accounting technicians work day-to-day.
Before I started on my apprenticeship I was studying for my A-levels and job searching.
I wanted to earn and learn, and my apprenticeship has given me the opportunity to do this whilst gaining hands-on experience in finance.
I’m so glad I came across apprenticeships – I really feel it’s the best way to get into your chosen industry.
Because I get given the chance to do tasks day-to-day, while others study them theoretically, I feel I get ahead. It’s also a great form of practical revision, and I get paid to do it!
My advice to others who are thinking about doing an apprenticeship is start ASAP. I have never been happier.
