Aspire Training Team are delighted to reveal Lucy Goodfellow at Horizon Childcare as our October 2019 Learner of the Month!
Lucy has been working towards her Level 5 qualification in Childcare with Aspire since June this year and the way she has taken to it has thoroughly impressed Deputy Manager Laura who put her forward for this month’s award with the following nomination:
“Lucy is very passionate about her career in Early Years and has recently been promoted to Baby Room Leader. She has such a loving, kind nature which is reflected in her practice every day.
She is very self-motivated and is eager to learn and develop her skills and knowledge in every aspect of her work. Lucy has been balancing her level 5 studies and full time employment extremely well and is very much on top of her work load and keen to achieve her qualification. Lucy is very driven and strives to progress her career in Early Years further into management level. She has great working relationships with colleagues and is always willing to lend a helping hand. The children adore her and she has formed fantastic relationships with the parents too.
Lucy takes time and care when observing and assessing the children, ensuring their learning and development is paramount. Lucy has recently been trained to screen children for ‘Let’s Talk More’ and seemed to really enjoy feeding her knowledge back to the team to promote this within the setting.
Overall we feel Lucy is a worthy winner of the ‘Learner of the month award’ due to her amazing work ethic, ability to balance her work and studies and always maintaining a positive and professional approach.”
It is always great to hear of a learner having such passion and pride in their work and to see that the setting hold Lucy in such high regard. So we are very proud to announce Lucy as our October 2019 Learner of the Month!
