National Apprenticeship Week took place from the 5th March to the 9th March and this year’s theme was“Apprenticeships work”.
There’s no better way to mark apprenticeship achievement by Hadland Care Group coming together to celebrate the difference apprenticeships are making. It’s a time to value our apprentices, therefore Director and colleagues from Aspire Training team will be visited settings across this week to give apprentices a small gift as a thank you.

Kelly Russell, Aspire Operations Director and Charlotte Percival, HR Director visited Tops Bournemouth to present apprentices Ricardo, Beth and Emma with their gifts.
Before moving over to Head Office as the HR Director, Charlotte was the Manager at Tops Bournemouth.
Maria Thomas-Luker Admin Director and Kelly Russell Aspire Operations Director visited Tops Day Nurseries in Parkstone to issue gifts to the two Apprentices Elle and Michaela, whilst Operations Director Amy Alderson of Tops Day Nurseries visited Tops Day Nurseries in Boscombe.
Tops Parkstone was the first ever Tops Day Nursery, opened in 1990. Maria joined the nursery 28 years ago as a nursery assistant. Maria progressed through her career, covering roles such as room supervisor, deputy manager before becoming the nursery manager in 1992. Kelly was the very first Apprentice to be taken on by the
company in 1997, working towards her childcare qualification at Tops Parkstone… which shows that Apprenticeships really do work.
Maria and Kelly really enjoyed visiting the setting to talk to the current staff and Apprentices about the progression opportunities available to them and also talk about the amazing changes within the company over the last 28 years.
