National Apprenticeship Week 2017

National Apprenticeship Week is running from 6 to 10 March, aiming to demonstrate the many benefits that apprenticeships can bring. By raising awareness and to encourage employers to recruit apprentices and assist individuals to choose an apprenticeship as a fantastic opportunity with launching a career.

Nationally, schools, colleges, employers and training organisations support the week by holding events and hosting activities to promote apprenticeship opportunities.

The Apprenticeship Levy

The new apprenticeship levy will come into effect from 6 April 2017. The levy will be applied to all organisations, not just those that have, or intend to use, apprentices. The funds generated will be used by the government to help pay for the cost of apprenticeship training.
