Level 1 Caring for Children Qualification

This is a fully funded opportunity designed for individuals aged 16 to 18. This Level 1 qualification serves as a practical alternative to traditional further education and provides a fantastic entry point for a new career, enriched with valuable work experience, one-on-one or group mentorship, and tutor support. Our group workshops, in addition to kickstarting your new career journey, offer an engaging, interactive, and hands-on learning experience.

It is possible for you to enrol on to this course at any time of the year.

About the Level 1 Qualification:

– We offer complimentary police checks (DBS), uniforms, resources, books, and support for travel expenses.
– You may also qualify for an attendance bonus.
– This course operates during term time and involves up to 24 hours per week.

The Level 1 qualification is officially recognized by NCFE and includes a dedicated tutor who conducts practical workshops every week. The remaining time will be spent gaining hands-on experience in an early years setting, actively working with children.

Our comprehensive curriculum covers a wide array of childcare topics, including:

– Creative craft activities
– Music in childcare
– Promoting healthy eating habits
– The pivotal role of play in child learning and development

Once you express your interest in enrolling in the course, we will arrange a convenient time for you to meet with Sarah, complete the enrollment form, and initiate your DBS check. It’s a straightforward process.

On successful completion we will support you to continue into a paid Level 2 apprenticeship in Early Years or onto your chosen career path.
